This wine displays a brilliant colour with purple reflections. The nose is a bit closed and needs to breathe a while for the notes of smoke, tobacco and liquorice to develop fully. The overall taste is dense and rich. Although a bit shy at first, on closer examination its potential of black fruit, mushroom and truffle flavours is revealed. It serves this bottle well to be hidden in the wine cellar to be found again a couple of years later.
